We are offering a Virtual Race! This means our participants may be from all over the world! Join our team and run the Heather's Home 5K Virtual Race beginning June 1 through June 8. If you would like to share your race results, please email them by June 8.
​​What Is A Virtual Race?
A Virtual Race is like a traditional race but it takes place in a location and time of your choice. You can walk, jog, or run wherever you may be, and at any time during the race timeframe for your chosen distance.

Choose Your Place
Ever wonder if your go-to training grounds would make a good race? Or maybe you want to explore a new trail? Show us! This is where you get to be creative. Design a loop course around your neighborhood or crush miles of mountain repeats! Run from road to trail, or power up that poor man's treadmill (trash bag and soap)! Wherever and however you want to run the distance, be creative and have fun!
Choose Your Race
You can choose the 5K and/or the Kids’ Fun Run (1 mile) if you’d like to include family.
Choose Your Pace
You can walk, run, skip, hike, shuffle, or sprint your distance; whatever is comfortable for you. As long as it's by foot, you can travel your course at your pace. Take pictures along the way! Share your experience with us!
Track
Wherever you choose to run your race, make sure to track it! You can track your run by using a variety of apps on your smartphone like Strava or MapMyRun. You can also use a GPS watch, or take a photo of a treadmill monitor.
Share
Social networking! When you complete your run, email us your GPS track or photo of your stats. We'll post your result online and send you all the virtual hugs, high-fives and kudos that go along with crossing that finish line!

Plus share your run adventure with us via social media by tagging us @HeathersHome5K. We'll repost your stories and let others applaud your efforts too!

Runners will have until June 9 at midnight to submit their results via email.

Registration cost is $25 ($30 after 4/30) for this race will still include a finisher medal (for the first 150 registrants).

Description
The Heather's Home Virtual Race is a way for people from around the world to come together to support Heather’s Home Ministries. We encourage you to take photos, make videos, conquer trails and mountains, and share your stories with us during this time of social distancing.
Through your participation you will be directly supporting our homes in Ghana and Haiti.

Feel free to do a dance that borders on embarrassingly fantastic and celebrate YOU! Celebrate with each other and our ability to move forward, no matter where we are physically located!

Race Packet
All participants in the Heather's Home Virtual Race will receive a race packet via mail after the race. (Local runners may also choose to pick up their packet or have it delivered within a 20 mile radius.) Runners will receive a race t-shirt (available for an additional fee), and custom Finisher Medal (for the first 150 participants). Registration includes all domestic shipping fees. Additional fees for international shipping.
